Pastor Scott O'Haver and Family

Family Picture 2007

Pastor Scott O’Haver and his wife, Diane, have been married 17 years. They met in Eugene, Oregon while serving at a high school Christian youth camp and Diane was attending the University of Oregon. GO DUCKS! They have two children - Nicole and Cade.

Scott graduated from Northwest Christian College with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing in Youth Ministry, Pastoral Studies, and Speech Communication. He served for 2 years at New Life Foursquare Church in Canby, Oregon as the middle school and high school pastor. In 1995, he came to Crossroads Community Church in Vancouver, Washington where he served for 11 years as an associate pastor. In those years he served as the pastor of young singles/college, small groups and discipleship, new believer development, marriage ministry, men’s ministry, and pulpit preaching on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings. Scott feels God has prepared him very uniquely for the journey God has called him to.

The O'Haver's are a sports-minded family. Nicole plays fast-pitch softball and volleyball, and Cade plays soccer and also delves into piano and American History. Diane enjoys Jazzercise, volunteering in the kid's classrooms at school, getting together with ladies for coffee and Bible study. Scott enjoys practicing sports with his kids along with watching their games. His favorite activities are police ride-a-longs and enjoying a round of golf with friends.

The O'Haver's have lived in Battle Ground for 4 years and they love it! They believe that God's purpose and plan for them is pastoring a church in Battle Ground, Washington in order to reach more people with the good news about having a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The Battle Ground community is tight-knit and friendly, and they can see that the people love their community. The O'Havers are excited to see more and more people discover God's purpose and plan for their lives and to see how God wants to impact this community, and the world, through the ministry of Daybreak Community Church.
