"Walking Tall" - Dave Brown - Daniel 1

One of the most difficult things about being a Christian in this world is standing in the face of the pressure to compromise. What are the things that pull at you to become something other than what God would want you to be? Who are the people that pull at you to worship things other than Jesus? How do you walk tall for God when everyone around you is bowing down to other things? Daniel was a young man who stood in the face of tremendous pressure. He teaches us a lot about walking tall for God.

What circumstances is God creating in your life that He might be using to get your attention and grab your heart? Jonah spent a 3 day and 3 night retreat in the belly of a fish? What was the result? What would it mean for you and I to follow God wherever He said to go? Are you running? Are you running away from God or toward Him? Is your heart God’s heart? What proof is there? Jonah faced all of these questions and ended up running, not toward God, but away from God. Jonah’s life teaches us how we need to run in the right direction if we are going to have a heart that is aligned with God.

"Getting Ready for Easter" - Matthew 21:1-11

Have you ever found yourself ready and seemingly prepared only to find out that you aren't and weren't? As Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the week prior to His crucifixion, it was an atmosphere of celebration and coronation of a King who everyone thought had come to rule and reign and set things right that weren't right. However, God had another plan. None of those who followed Him were ready for what would unfold that week. They weren't ready emotionally or spiritually. The events of Palm Sunday recorded in Matthew 21 help us get ready to celebrate Jesus' resurrection from the dead but they also show us how to remain ready and strong in our faith when life throws us unexpected curveballs. Palm Sunday teaches us that being ready to obey, ready to praise, and ready to trust in all circumstances are vital to our love for God remaining strong.

Some call God by the name ‘Allah’ and others by the name ‘Jehovah’ and others by many other names, but there is only ONE GOD, regardless of how He is addressed. All religions have the same goal, namely, to get to God, and it doesn’t so much matter what a person believes, as long as he is sincere and believes he is doing right in his heart. Eventually we will all end up in the same place. Does it really matter what you believe? How can you know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life? We’ve also provided the attached document to help you answer this question.
