Podcasting is a very nice alternative to having to be tied to your computer
in order to listen to an audio file, cd, or anything else. Instead, you can take it with you! Podcasting is where you download an MP3 file to your computer from a particular website, you then transfer it to your media player such as ITunes or Windows Media Player and then synchronize it with your IPod or other MP3 Player and off you go wherever you want to go!
We highly recommend having high-speed Internet access and some type of podcast software before subscribing to our podcasts.
What is it?
iPod
Podcasting is designed to allow you to listen to audio broadcasts at your convenience. The iPod is Apple's main MP3 hand held device that synchronizes with iTunes when you connect it to your computer. In place of an iPod, there
are many other types of MP3, or audio players, that will allow you to take your podcasts with you.
Check out Apple.com for more information on the iPod.
iTunes
itunes transfers your downloaded podcasts to your iPod and is the gateway between Daybreak's podcasts and your iPod. It allows you to subscribe to podcasts directly in iTunes. It is a free program, compatible with both PCs and Macs. Just follow the simple instructions to the right to subscribe to Daybreak Community Church's Podcasts.
Check out Apple.com to download iTunes.
Another popular, and free, podcast software is the Juice Podcast Receiver |
